Hi fellow fans of visual history, I am Carl Hamnede AKA ColorByCarl, professional photo and video colorization artist based in Sweden.

I have always been facinated by the possibility to make history come alive and colorization of historical black and white photos and films is a way to get the experience of bringing the past to life.
By combining the latest technology and a meticulous historical research i am aiming to get the most accurate color reconstruction possible.

I do restoration and colorization work for Museums, Production Companies for Film and TV and also for private clients.
